The calibration is performed by comparison with standards set down by ‘DKD’ (Deutsche Kalibrierdienst) the German National Accreditation Authority. Under a European Multilateral Agreement (see Document EA01/08) DKD is recognised as of equal standing, and equally acceptable, to the UK National Standards as set down by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, ‘UKAS’.
